Tapestry Shoulder Bags
As with my other tapestry work, these shoulder bags are woven with silk, mohair, wool, linen, cotton and any other fine and interesting fibers I can find. They are absolutely unique & wearable art. Each bag is fully lined and some have pockets sewn to the lining. Sides and stress points are carefully reinforced to provide many years of joyful companionship! All the finishing sewing work is done by hand. Button closures and adornments are selected from my collection of antique and fine contemporary buttons. The shoulder straps are tightly hand braided from the same fibers used to weave the body of the bag. Both men and women enjoy these wonderfully functional traveling tapestries.
